Scott Boras' pilot pitcher in the "parking" project, whereby, if you don't get prime dollar out of one club, you place the pitcher into the indies, as he did with Hochevar, playing for the Fort Worth Cats, then get him back them into what was the MLB amateur draft in June even though they're no longer amateurs. Hochever went No. 1 in 2006 to KC after LA refused to pay Boras what he wanted for a compensation round player that went 40th OA. Hochevar parked, and got paid from the Royals tresury. Thus far he's been learning and moving along well, but ironically not with quite the stuff that Boras client and follow-up act Max Scherzer has been demonstrating. Scherzer got parked as well. The Indies are starting to look more important to the pay picture every day.
