Born on August 6, 1974 in Bani, Peravia (Dominican Republic), Luis Vizcaino (Luis (Arias) Vizcaino) played for the Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 8 year career. Vizcaino broke into the bigs on July 23, 1999 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 2.99 ERA in 81.1 innings pitched in 2002, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Luis Vizcaino's best season was 2002, when he posted a 2.99 ERA and struck out 79 batters.
