Luis Sanchez

Born on August 24, 1953 in Cariaco, Sucre (Venezuela), Luis Sanchez (Luis Mercedes Escoba Sanchez) played for the California Angels for his entire 5 year career. Sanchez broke into the bigs on April 10, 1981 with the California Angels, and put up a 3.21 ERA in 92.2 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Luis Sanchez's best season was 1984, when he posted a 3.33 ERA, notched 11 saves and struck out 62 batters.
