Luis Rivas (Luis Wilfredo Rivas) was born on August 30, 1979 in La Guaira, Vargas (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on September 16, 2000 for the Minnesota Twins. In 2001, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 7 home runs and 47 RBI. Rivas played for the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians during his career.
Most people believe that Luis Rivas's best season was 2001, when he stole 31 bases.
