Luis Gomez (Luis (Sanchez) Gomez) was born on August 19, 1951 in Guadalajara, Jalisco (Mexico). He made his Major League debut on April 28, 1974 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1974, his rookie year, he hit .208 with 0 home runs and 3 RBI. Gomez played for the Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 8 year career.
