Luis Aponte

Born on June 14, 1953 in El Tigre, Anzoategui (Venezuela), Luis Aponte (Luis Eduardo (Yuripe) Aponte) played for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career. Aponte broke into the bigs on September 4, 1980 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.18 ERA in 85 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Luis Aponte's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1983, when he posted a 3.63 ERA. However, others believe that it was 1982, when he posted a 3.18 ERA.
