Loyd Wainscott (Loyd Dale Wainscott) was born on October 26, 1946 in Texas City, Texas. After going to high school at LaMarque (TX), Wainscott attended the University of Texas. Wainscott made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time. Wainscott also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.
