Lowell Spinners to Replace Little League Yankees in New England?

The Lowell Spinners, a Single-A minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have offered to cover the cost of new uniforms for any New England youth league that wishes to rename its Yankees team the Spinners. Spinners' general manager Tim Bawmann noted that children in New England are often devastated when they learn that they have been assigned to a team called the Yankees.
