Low-A Baseball

Low-A is a short-hand classification for the leagues below " High-A" in Class-A Baseball which is sorted out into:

High-A
Low-A Baseball
Short-Season A Baseball

Class A is an entry level class, above Rookie in skill level. Short-season was formed largely to deal with the players incoming from the MLB June Draft and those Rookie class players showing greater promise by mid-season. A or Low A are intermediate players within the Class-A system, and High-A are the top tier of the class.
