Lou Zontini (Louis Rogers Zontini) was born on August 30, 1917 in Alliance, Ohio. After going to high school at Sherman (Seth, WV), Zontini attended the University of Notre Dame. Zontini made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals and Cleveland Rams over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Zontini also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bisons the entire time.

Most people believe that 1944 was Lou Zontini's best year.
