Lou Stringer (Louis Bernard Stringer) was born on May 13, 1917 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1941 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1941, his rookie year, he hit .246 with 5 home runs and 53 RBI. Stringer played for the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Lou Stringer's best season was 1941, when he knocked in 53 runs.
