Lou Skizas (Louis Peter Skizas) was born on June 2, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1956 for the Kansas City Athletics. In 1956, his rookie year, he hit .314 with 11 home runs and 40 RBI. Skizas played for the Kansas City Athletics, Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Lou Skizas's best season was 1957, when he slugged 18 home runs.
