Lou Merillat (Louis Alfred Merillat) was born on June 9, 1892 in Chicago, Illinois. Merillat attended Army College and Illinois Institute of Technology. Merillat made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Canton Bulldogs. He played for the Canton Bulldogs for his entire 1 year career.
