Lou Klein (Louis Frank Klein) was born on October 22, 1918 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1943 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 7 home runs and 62 RBI. Klein played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Lou Klein's best season was 1943, when he hit for a .287 average and knocked in 62 runs.
