Lou Finney (Louis Klopsche Finney) was born on August 13, 1910 in Buffalo, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1931 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1933, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 3 home runs and 32 RBI. Finney played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Lou Finney's best season was 1936, when he hit for a .302 average.
