Lou Clinton (Luciean Louis Clinton) was born on October 13, 1937 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on April 22, 1960 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .228 with 6 home runs and 37 RBI. Clinton played for the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels, Kansas City Athletics, Cleveland Indians, California Angels and New York Yankees over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Lou Clinton's best season was 1963, when he slugged 22 home runs and knocked in 77 runs.
