Lou Chiozza (Louis Peo Chiozza) was born on May 17, 1910 in Tallulah, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1934 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .304 with 0 home runs and 44 RBI. Chiozza played for the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Lou Chiozza's best season was 1936, when he hit for a .297 average.
