On Saturday night, Marek Svatos scored one of the Avs' three first-period goals and had the lone goal in a shootout to give the Avalanche a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.

Milan Hejduk and Tyler Arnason also scored for the Avalanche.

Jose Theodore stopped 28 shots also made saves on shots by Alexander Frolov, Michael Cammalleri and Lauri Tukonen in the shootout.
