Angels Win 6-2.

Los Angeles Angels Schedule/Results

Jered Weaver (W, 3-0) picked up his 3rd career victory this afternoon against the Devil Rays as the Angels won 6-2. This was the 5th series in a row that the Angels have won, and they did so with a strong 6 inning outing by Weaver. The Devil Rays managed to score twice on solo home runs by Carl Crawford and Julio Lugo. Seth McClung (L, 2-8) took the loss for the Devil Rays, pitching 5 and 1/3rd innings and giving up 4 runs. Rookies Mike Napoli and Kendry Morales hit home runs for the Angels and Orlando Cabrera, who went 2-3, extended his string of games reaching base to 38 games.

It could get to the point where Jered replaces Jeff in the rotation. Painful for Jeff...

Jered is already showing he can perform better than Jeff, and Jeff only started to show any signs of pitching well when his brother was called up. I predict that if Jered gets sent down, his brother will start pitching poorly again.
