Look Who's Snuck Back Onto The Radar Screen.

There's been a bunch o' baseball talk this week: stats, Barry, the depravity that Baseball Tonight has become, the Phillies placing their own personal stamp on futility, but one thing has gone basically unnoticed.

In July, the Detroit Tigers have gone 6-1, with a win against Minnesota (after dropping 2), taking 2 of three from Cleveland (including a 12-3 spanking of CC Sabathia) and finally they swept the Red Sox outta town this weekend...including beating wonder boy Dice K earlier today.

On a 5 game win streak, the Tigers are taking a 1 game lead over Cleveland (and 8 games in front of Minnesota) into the All Star break.....it's yet to be seen if they can play a better second half than they did last year, but it looks like Jim Leyland has put together a consistent winner in Detroit.....
