Lonnie Wright (Lawrence Wright) was born on January 23, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey. After going to high school at South Side (Newark, NJ), Wright attended Colorado State University. Wright made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1967 was Lonnie Wright's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
