Lonnie Sanders (Lonnie Sanders) was born on November 6, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Pershing (Detroit, MI), Sanders attended Michigan State University. Sanders made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1965 was Lonnie Sanders's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
