Yes, I TOLD you so!
Sometimes I am wrong (see: My NBA predictions over the last 4 years)... but when I'm right (see every other prediction I've made), I am REALLY right.
[edit] "Yes, I really truly believe the Rays will win 92 games and take the AL East this year." - Too Manny Stiles, April 3, 2008
Now, I'm not bragging or rubbing it in or even basking in the glow of reflected satisfaction.
I'm not satisfied, yet. There's certainly still more to accomplish. A clinched playoff spot is just an invitation to the ball...
But while everyone was making crazy predictions about the Rays being a .500 team and finishing 4th in the AL East, I started telling you that idea was wrong a LOOOOOOOONG time ago!
What's the point of this? If you want to see the future develop in front of your eyes, you cannot keep yourself busy by staring at the past.
Come October, eight MLB teams will be 0 - 0.
9 = 8, but soon... 9 will = 1!!!

But while people were regurgitating their Yankee and Red Sox mindlessness and while others were blah-blahing about how great the acquisition of Erik Bedard was going to make the Mariners, I stood up and said the simple words.
"Rays - 2008 AL East champs".
And when you hear your TV spout those disgusting words "no one thought the Rays..." know that Manny Stiles and his gang of Weird Shift buttons is "no one"...
I might have to change my name to "No One"...
Just remember when I was in Tampa last April asking team employees...
"When will the World Series come to Tampa Bay?
Most answered '08 or '09..." and they were ALL dead serious.
