Posted by Tyrone Briggs

I just figured it was time to provide die hard Yankees and Red Sox fans to bash the hell out of each other - all captured on one single thread.

Go at it sports.

See what you started Tyrone? A bunch of facktard Red Sox fans doing their best Rain Man imitation:

"Yankees suck"

Twenty five Red Sox fans on the 'Chair and that fackin' bozo just said the only thing they know, "Yankees suck".

Fackin' genius.

You know why Red Sox fans are Red Sox fans?

They applied to be Yankee fans and couldn't spell "New York" on the application, they all wrote "New Yawk".

If you think you're affecting me with your ignorance - since I became a Rays fan FOR CHARITY - you are sadly mistaken.

But, alas you merely are the mouthpiece for ignorant, unknowledgable Boston fans that think they know everything and get this, LOVE to show how smart they are. Well done, Rawb. You only made 4 Rays "jokes" (so far) in a Red Sox - Yankees thread - yet you accuse me of what now?

If there's anything worse than a "Know it all" sports fan that has to act high and mighty to make up for glaring inadequacies, it's a Boston sports fan. Oh, what's the difference?

Fuck 'em all. They actually make me WANT to cheer for New York teams! Hell, I was rooting FOR the Pistons last night! The Pistons!!! I hate the Pistons, that is how bad this is getting.

Boston fans know one thing about sports and only one thing - their team is wicked awesome

They are so delusional and myopic it makes me want to puke - and I don't puke easily!

And now "I'm so smart" Rawb will come in here and say that "the loud, unknowledgable part of the Boston fanbase is the minority, we're very knowledgable fans" and he'll prove my point in doing so...

If you have to tell people how smart and knowledgable you are, YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

If you weren't an idiot, then why must you force tired jokes about the Rays into the conversation? You have NOTHING. You are a sham and when the Boston teams go back to sucking (because sports are cyclical) you'll go back under the bandwagon into hiding...

Schmucks! Each and every one of you are schmucks! You give Peter Gammons a bad name...

The Patriots are going to lose their perfect season, then in the playoffs too. The Red Sox aren't going to win another World Series in your lifetime and the Celtics aren't even going to the NBA Finals.

Boston Fans - Enjoy RIGHT NOW because this is as good as it will ever get for you. It's over... it's all downhill from the top!

And when they do lose, I know it will crush your raison d'etre.

See, all Boston sports fans root for their teams so hard for the same sad sack, pathetic reason - they live in (or near) Boston. As long as the teams are winners, so shall their fanbases be... If it wasn't for sports they'd have nothing to validate their puny existence.

That's why New Yorkers are cool regardless of their obnoxiousness. They root the same win or lose and they KNOW what the rest of the leagues are like... they understand MORE than just their teams (partly because they'll be stealing all those players eventually) and they don't have to find solace and escape in sports.... they're New Yorkers, dammit! That's reason enough.

By the way, before MLB season started I heard more Yankees fans predicting the Sox to win the World Series than Sox fans...

When your team is on top you never shut up, when your team loses you go into hiding. THAT is Boston in a nutshell!

"A man looks into the abyss. There’s nothing staring back at him. At that moment, a man finds his character. And that’s what keeps him out of the abyss."

I heard that quote in Wall Street, but it just seems too fancy for Oliver Stone, so I'm pretty sure it's a quotation from somewhere else.

"When you got to choose who you were going to be before you were born... oh, yeah - no one got to do that, huh? You only get to choose what you do with it! What are YOU doing? Running? Hiding? Pretending it will all go away? CHOOSE motherfucker CHOOSE!"

This confused me. Perhaps you could rephrase your obsessive rants? But I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say about knowing people.

You know me better than I think? How far does your stalking go, Manny?

Live life to the fullest? Wow, never heard that one before, Mr. Creativity.

You're right, I didn't run into you by accident. I joined this site to converse with a wide range of sports fan. Included in that range is the high and mighty fan, the fan who think that they're better than everyone else. This fan will generalize, destructively criticise, lament, moan, batter, and basically be a bully. They'll spend their days barking at people. They'll tell themselves that they're trying to help people be better, but they're really trying to help people be more like them. By doing so, they've created the delusion that they are, apparently, better than everyone else. Is that fan you? I don't know. But I'm leaning toward yes.

It seems as though you're trying to help me with something. All I can say to that is: I appreciate the offer, but no thanks. I'm here to talk about sports.

Are you talking about me or yourself, Gold Mine?

Seriously - Blaming others of what you feel guilty for and have a working knowledge of isn't going to make it go away, you know? Like I said - I'm just a mirror, Gold Mine. And while you spend your next moments thinking of some "rebuttal" may I remind you that HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!!!!

You are one marvelously wonderful complete and utter fool, aren't you Gold Mine? It's probably anice little world you've created inside your head to shelter you from facing reality, but you have already said WAY too many things that contradict what you are attempting to defend - which is even funnier when you realize I'm not attacking you! And not in your wildest dreams would ANYONE (especially me) become obsessed with you... nice try. I just keep calling you an idiot and you keep proving it! Well done, Gold Mine!

Face it. You're a liar lying to yourself. Call me a bully, fine. I'm just opening your eyes, that's all - you're the one adding the pain and hurt. You're the one giving the free information then trying to retract it. You're in over your head (which doesn't take much and I'm sure you're used to it). I told you that you should stop or you'd hurt yourself. So I woke you up from your blinding dreams and lies of fascination. I know it hurts, but it will save you trouble in the long run! Your defense mechanisms are paper thin. You really should work on that, Gold Mine...

If you were "reality" as you claim what would you have to defend? The truth?

Oh, and your "fascination" with dogs is sickly astounding but after seeing your pictures, reasonable. Call me a dog all you want, you aren't going to use peanut butter on me, Schmuckles... Call me whatever name you need to call me to make yourself feel better... whatever.

And you're a "poker player"? Seriously? Good luck with that... Maybe one day YOU can get on TV too!!! HA HA HA HAAAA!!! Your bluffs suck. Almost as much as a typical Red Sox fan does...

P.S... HA HA HAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAAA - I'm gonna get a hernia laughing at you tonight, Gold Mine!!!

Objectively as a Sox fan I do have to say that these last two World Series have facked up the fan base a little bit. During the 1990's (when the Yankees were winning World Series) everyone was a Yankee fan (people in Arizona, Seattle, Mexico, everywhere). Why? Because they are front runners... and now that Boston has won two out of the last four World Series, all the front runners have turned into Boston fans. These are the obnoxious, retarded fans that we are all talking about. That is why the majority of Red Sox and Yankees fans are assholes. Its the garbage that comes with winning; both teams have it, but both teams have their true fans and true baseball fans as well. So yes, SPORTS FANS = ASSHOLES

Pictures of the “bloody sock” clearly show it was staged as a prop for dramatic effect. The image, which was flashed over and over in the media, always seemed to be posed just a little too perfectly. Then, as we analyzed the photograph more closely, we spotted a mistake that could be the undoing of the entire thing: a “T” written on pitcher Curt Schilling’s shoe that doesn’t belong there. What is the significance of this? Simple: the “T” is part of a lettering technique used by prop experts to correctly stage scenes for films. Some hapless film crew probably forgot to put black tape over the letter, and accidentally let the scene air with the letter still prominent on the shoe.

You know, when I was in high school, our football team was universally hated. It wasn't just our rivals that hated us. It would be schools we had never played against before. Foxboro, Whitman-Hanson, Lowell, Chaminade from New York, New Britain from Connecticut, they all despised us. And we loved it. Nobody blindly hates bad teams. That special kind of malevolence is reserved for greatness.

So all you people that hate Boston teams, and their fans; all I can say is "Thank you." Thank you for consistently reminding us of how great our teams are. Occasionally, on a Wednesday perhaps, it slips my mind that the Patriots are 14-0. The Red Sox winning the World Series falls to the back of my brain, sometimes. But you guys bring these facts to the forefront. And at the same time, you embarrass your own teams by reaching for insults, or using generic derogations like "Patriots Suck." Then you dig even deeper, scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel for some semblance of trash talk to hurl at us. "The Patriots are cheaters" "Boston fans are obnoxious" "Bill Belichick is rude" "The Yankees have more rings"

Some of my fellow Boston fans might say "I don't care if everyone else hates us." But I do care. I care a great deal. It's your hatred that makes our successes even more enjoyable. It's your hatred that reminds us of how much better our teams are than yours. So once again, thank you.

It's a shame there's no AGM Award for cockiness and pretentiousness. I'd win in a landslide.

There was a pitcher for the ChokeSox in the '80's, early '90's who left for Toronto and New York because he wanted a World Series ring. Spelled his name different, Roger Clemens.

Same guy, perhaps? Who left the town of losers so he could win?

And just to repeat, the Red Sox have steriod users. They are not clean. Your referrals on the Yankees cheating is both ignorant and childish, especially considering the Sox have won twice in the past four seasons while the Yankees haven't won in 8.

So maybe its the Red Sox who are doping.

The Sox have also made one or two solid non-signings. Derek Lowe, Pedro Martinez, Johnny Damon. Then there are guys like Youkilis, Pedroia, and Papelbon with minor league contracts, and Hideki Okajima making $1.2M. It's a weird mix of blatantly overpaid and underpaid players.

I'd just like to comment about the whole "buying a World Series" argument.

It really doesn't hold much weight that the Yankees "bought" their rings. When the Yankees were winning titles, they weren't going out and getting the "mercenary" guys like Giambi, Mussina, Johnson, Brown, A-Rod, etc. They won with talent they developed (Jeter, Posada, Rivera, Bernie), and role players they acquired cheaply (Brosius, Tino, O'Neil, El Duque). Actually, as they've become more aggressive in free agency, they've fallen from being THE top team to simply being A top team.

And honestly, the Red Sox operate no differently than the Yankees. Yes, the Yanks spend more money than we do, but we spend more money than everyone else. We get free agents like Manny, Drew, Matsuzaka. We can trade for guys like Schilling, Beckett, and Lowell. We can afford to give up prospects because their future spots can be filled through free agency. We can take risks on guys like Matsuzaka, and still have a good enough team to compete.

The sooner Red Sox fans can get off this "buying rings" argument, the better. We have a winning team now. We no longer have to complain about the WAY the Yankees win, because they don't win anymore! For the first time in nearly a century, we can look to the field of play in order to make fun of the Yankees. Let's take advantage of that!

26 and 7 should be the only numbers you should be concerned with. The last two years or ten make no difference.

There are more Yankee fans in New Hampshire than Red Sox fans.

Comcast cable won't carry NESN in southwestern Connecticut because there aren't enough Red Sox fans who will subscribe to make it financially viable for the station.

I can get the YES network in Phoenix.

Red Sox aren't even the most popular team in New England and yet you're spouting your blowhole about how great they are.

The Confederates won more battles than they lost but still lost the war. Get over yourself, you will never beat a Yankee fan in an argument. Ever.

I don't think we should break the record for the most comments on this page. Even though we all know it will eventually with all of the stupid ananymous users nagging, I don't think AGM would be proud of having the page with most comments involving anything with the Red Sox/Yankees.
