I'm gonna go with Beasley, even though I usually don't like basing a player's abilities on just one year on the college level. But, if you're gonna pick from the two freshman, I'd take the 6'9 Beasley.

I'm going to have to agree. Beasley is the best player in this draft. Nobody was talking about Rose until later in the season whereas Beasley was the overall consensus pick as number one for the whole season. Beasley isn't just a prospect at the moment, he is an impact player. That is why I would take Beasley if given the choice... But, Chicago is in a difficult situation. They need to move some players around via trade. At this point, because of their situation they must take Rose because the front-court is too crowded. If they don't make a move, look for them to take Rose...

Michael Beasley. He has some character questions, but the Bulls are already deep enough to gamble on the player with the highest ceiling in the draft. Beasley dominated like few other freshman have ever done before. He led the country in rebounding (12.4 RPG) and was third in scoring (26.2 PPG). It’s very difficult to find fault with a big man (6’9, 235) that scored and rebounded better than everyone else in college basketball. The Bulls shouldn't be concerned with the number of front-court players they already have, because if Beasley is better than them all, they will not regret taking him. Rose is a fantastic prospect (and a Chicago area native), but he may not have as much “superstar” potential as Beasley and he may not ever be much better that Kirk Heinrich, the Bulls current point guard. Rose only averaged 4.7 Assists Per Game on a high-scoring team, which is a concern, but many feel that he has less chance of being an actual bust than Beasley. He wouldn’t be the first choice for every team, but Beasley should be the pick for The Bulls.

If I'm the bulls, I take Rose. He fits a need (Gordon=gone), is a hometown boy, and they have a ton of forwards already. The issue isn't Beasley's talent, just how to deal with having too many front court players
