When is hitting someone better than coming close.
I'm not a Kyle Farnsworth fan, but it seems to me he's getting a raw deal. He almost hits Manny's shoulder and gets suspended. The night before A-rod gets hit in the shoulder and oh well, that's ok. The talking heads say Manny owns the Yankees, so Kyle did it on purpose.
Ok, I agree but A-rod owns the whole American League and it seems to me there's a bulls-eye on his uniform. Every team hits him at least once every other series. Farnsworth didn't even hit the guy, he came close, which I guess is more dangerous than actually hitting someone.
Please don't tell me Farnsworth was closer to Mannys head because if he was it was about 1" closer at most. If A-rod didn't duck, it had him square in the head. And this excuse about Manny being Manny is wearing very thin. Everyone else hits a home-run simply runs around the bases. If they stop to admire it, they get knocked down the next time up. But when Manny admires it for twice as long, it's Manny being Manny.
I think the next time he does it he should have a baseball stuck in his ear, maybe he could reconsider being Manny.
