What is allowed on armchairgm?
Unfortunately I feel like this is necessary.
A lot of situations have recently occured on this blog that need answers. It feels like for some unknown reason that original "top posters" and even administrators were more than happy posting to each other, living as one tight family.
I was brought to armchairgm by 2 or 3 seperate bloggers who commented about armchairgm's format and being overall a good blog. The column that was introduced to me was of course Leslie's. Not going there as this is no longer relevant.
However, as this blog is an open format where anyone can "write a sports article" I did so. First was a little column (yes tongue and cheek) about the Sox vs Cubs-- rivalry was occuring as I wrote that and yes my wife really did say "who cares". Next was the beer column which I had created on another blog and was asked by DNL to further explain it in an article or column that again I posted here-- I did this here NOT on the other blog that I normally do.
I look at things as this: EVERYONE has the right to first produce any column here on ANY topic of their choice. EVERYONE has the right to comment on that said column if submitted. EVERYONE has the right to comment on comments that have been submitted on that said column. So why all the hate? Why all the censorship? Why all the arguing? I have never been on a blog that so quickly tries to "control" the context that it has on it. How dare someone tell me how I should feel, what I mean, what has happened in my life, how to live my life, what I can write, what I cannot write, so on and so on.
Yes politics and sports go hand in hand-- wake up!- however, on both of my columns some individuals decided to go down paths they shouldn't have gone down. Certain topics were not brought up by me; however, when one post a comment that must be held accountable to the response it will get.
So here is my point: I have been cursed at. I have been threatened by acts of voilence. I have tried to be censored. I have been censored. I have been told how I should feel. I have been told what my childhood consisted of and what my future will hold.
And yet, this was all okay. No problem. But, when a certain member released information that allowed another member to find out personal information they were banned.
I don't get this.
So, I am hoping that someone can explain to me how armchairgm works? I am use to a world where if someone freely expresses themselves you have few choices: #1. Don't listen (or read) and ignore or #2. Listen/read and comment.
Problem is #2 allows that person to respond back.
Hope people can explain.

And naming my wife has nothing to do with our conversations. What's next? You wanna bring my Mom into it to?
Don't make it personal. My wife and her family have nothing to do with your keyboard.
There's a reason my name is so easily accessible. I DO things. Make like me and get YOUR name out there too, by contributing. Stop being a little brat playing this "he said-she said" and get over yourself already...
For the MILLIONTH TIME - SPORTS content. Stop the semantics already.
