What do you get when you mix one part fool with two parts lies?
The Associated Press has posted an article that states that David Stern isn’t “worried” about the Sonic ownership’s emails that were released last week.
My first thought: Duh. Did anyone really think that David Stern would get angry at his buddies? If you did, maybe you should look up the term "crony" and then review the situation in the current White House...but I digress...
This article made me mad for several reasons.
1) The NBA continues to show that they don't care that Bennett is in bed with Stern and that they will do anything to make it possible for him to come out on top. Stern says that the emails mean nothing? Well, lets see what the judge thinks when it comes to the lease trial. Those emails BLATANTLY show the lack of effort and bad faith.
2) The article says in regards to Steve Ballmer: "That effort subsequently fell apart when it wasn't backed by the city or the state legislature." This is misleading and mostly false. The city gov't was all for it, yet needed the approval of the state gov't to reallocate a tax already in place for KING COUNTY. The State gov't was lazy (as normal) and never even discussed. Representatives from OTHER counties have said they are against, even though it wouldn't effect them at ALL. It effects King County and the city of Seattle.
Stern is on a one way track straight into the Hall of Fame of terrible Sports Commissioners.
I want to know your opinions. Since I am tired of subjecting you to my Sonics diatribes, I put this in the lockerroom. If you are feeling fiesty, I would love if you would leave the commetns on my blog as well...i want to get a conversation started.
