Vote Early and Vote Often
It's time to act like Chicagoans, folks (or Philadelphians these days).
The NHL All-Star Game is in Montreal this season. Not surprisingly, the Canadiens are dominated All-Star voting. In fact, all six starting positions are currently held by Canadiens. As a Bruins fan, and a hockey fan, this pisses me off.
So I'm stuffing the ballot box, and I urge you to do the same. I ask you to put aside team loyalties and vote for guys like Crosby and Ovechkin, even if you don't think they deserve to be there. Because they're better than Saku Koivu and Alex Tanguay. And they have the best shots at passing the 3 Canadiens at the top.
And vote for Zdeno Chara. To show I'm not playing favorites, I voted for Kimmo Timonen, who plays for my 2nd most hated hockey team: the Flyers.
For goalie, vote for Henrik Lundqvist or write-in Tim Thomas. Thomas leads the NHL in GAA and save percentage, people. It's not his fault the NHL is lame and only has 10 goalies on its ballot.
You don't want 6 Canadiens on the ice at the All-Star Game. Even if we get just one Flyer or Ranger or Cap or Bruin or Senator or Sabre in there, it ruins the story.
