Is going to become truly ironic next year when they really do suck. I think I may feel bad enough to stop participating in it. j/k that'll never happen.

I personally will never stop taking glee in the suffering of the New York Yankees, but I won't chant if they end up being bad. Doesn't seem right, and I certainly wouldn't want them to chant at the Red Sox if we were in that hypothetical position. It's only funny and appropriate if people are just chanting because they're frustrated with the Yankees being good and them not actually sucking.
