Spam Accounts For Referral Points?

Are any of you guys screwing around and creating new accounts for points or what?

I'm seeing the weekly points page and I see the name Ha on there who recruited two people. Then I look at the referrals page, and I'm seeing random letters of the alphabet on there and they have recruited inactive people.

What's going on?

I doubt people are taking the points race that seriously that they are making fake accounts. In addition, some fake accounts are made for legit reasons, I have several.

It's a bug. The referrer is User:Hammytown (friend of mine) and his URL got cut off, so User:Ha (who doesn't exist) gets credit. happens a few times.

Naw. My ego is just so big it NEEDS "Too" user names.

I really don't care about the points - partly another reason why the original Manny is chillin'. And when I'm twice a Legend, I'll have proof I spent WAY too much of my life here!! =)
