SSR Road to the Playoffs Pick 'Em Thread of Garrard

Posted by SSreporters

I picked the Titans, which nailed my chances of winning this thing severely. Remember, if you win a playoff game, you gain 2 points, and drop 2 points if you lose.

Last week's results:

Alex Holowczak: 11 points (No perfect week bonus points because it's playoff time, but he did win the pt. total game via a 4-0 record for him vs. a 2-2 record for me)

Falcon02520: 0 points

JuTMSY4: 0 points

Behbigben15: 0 points

Kwitt11: 0 points

False Prophet: -8 points......in other words, he finished 0-4, ready to wave the white flag?

Kdark11: 0 points

JB82: 0 points

Cheezer: 0 points

SSReporters: 0 points

Seanmcsean: 8 points...another perfect week

BOMBERS: 8 points......perfect week.

Did not pick: BlueCarp, Tylersalt, Donnie35

Season Standings:

[edit] The Elite Prognosticators

1. Seanmcsean (54 points)

2. Kdark11 (51 points)

3. Cheezer (40 points)

4. Falcon02520 (39 points)

5. SSReporters (35 points)

6. JB82 (30 points)

[edit] The Not Quite Ready For Sunday NFL Countdown Picking

7. False Prophet (26 points)

8. Kwitt11 (25 points)

9. BOMBERS (24 points)

10. Behbigben15 (21 points)

11. Donnie35 (10 points)

12. Alex Holowczak (7 points)

[edit] Quite Appalling

13. Tylersalt (6 points)

14. BlueCarp (-5 points)

15. JuTMSY4 (-9 points)

You know the playoff schedule by now....

[edit] Redskins Seahawks @ Packers

[edit] Jaguars @ Patriots

1)Packers - In the playoffs and at home.

2)Patriots - The jags might give them a good run but in the end it will be all Brady.

3)Cowboys - The Giants are impressive right now but not that impressive.

4)Colts (49) - Manning will pick them apart.

I'm playing it safe, and going to go with the 4 best teams, no upsets this week.

Packers- Favre is hungry for another SB ring.

Patriots- I don't think anyone will be able to beat this team.

Cowboys- I don't think Eli will be as consistent as he was against TB.

Colts- Indy is the reigning champs, you can't pick against them (unless they play NE).

Seahawks @ Packers - Oddly enough, Seattle is the team of playoff veterans and Green Bay is the young team. 40/53 Packers were brought to the team by T^2 in the last three years. Green Bay is better in every aspect, except maybe pass rush, so if their youth doesn't do them in, they'll pull it out.

Jaguars @ Patriots - Pittsburgh was able to throw deep on the Jags a couple of times. What do you think Brady and Moss will do? Last week the Jags relied on an interception return for a TD, a long KO return to set-up another TD, and some questionable decisions by the Steelers to eke out a narrow victory. Do you think the Pats will make the same mistakes? However, if the Jags can pressure Brady and establish a strong running game they may sniff at victory. If not, it could get ugly early.

Giants @ Cowboys - If TO is out, the Giant defense can handle the running game, and Eli doesn't get his Burress blinders on (Shockey out), the Giants have a shot at an upset. The late season Cowboy collapse (and the Giants peaking) implies that this could be an interesting match-up. If the Boys get back on track and turn this into a shoot-out, the Giants are done.

Chargers @ Colts' (50) - The Chargers offense should be more productive this week than last, but the Colts are well rested and fairly healthy.

Seahawks - There will be one upset, and GB actually is below .500 in their most recent home playoff games.

Patriots - Do I look crazy?

Cowboys - They've won this game twice, without too much trouble. No reason it doesn't become three.

Colts (47) - Peyton Manning vs. Phillip Rivers...that says it all.

Packers - Farve wants one more

Patriots - I want them to lose, they just won't. Giants - Romo hasn't proven himself in the playoffs/clutch yet. Plus no T.O.

Colts - I like the chargers, but the Colts are hungry. (45)
