Serious question Alex...what the hell do you eat...my experiences in England (granted, only London) have yielded terrible food...there's gotta be something...

Overpriced... terrible food... Fish and Chips is a staple of the British diet.

Fish Sticks and fries? Blah, Terrible...

Not just that! They're caked in oil, salt & vinegar normally. We have shops that just sell that and nothing else! (Okay there are variants such as Battered Sausage and Chips, Roe and Chips etc.)

Over here, Chips = Fries. Crisps = Chips.

We have a lot of Indian cuisine, curry etc. Chinese too.

Another staple is the Full English Breakfast - e.g. Bacon, Egg, Baked Beans, Black Pudding perhaps, Toast etc.

The english breakfast I'll give you...that was the only acceptable meal of the day..even the baked beans...but the black pudding i passed on...it looked like a hockey puck...

Where i come from alex, we drench stuff in vinegar (its a German American Thing) and surprisingly, I occasionally get weird looks in boston when i want vinegar for fries...i never understand why...some people think its perfectly normal and others are confused by my request...

Bangers and Mash is pretty good. I heard you guys have a food called "faggots". No lie...

I thought those were either bundles of sticks of cigarettes? Bangers and Mash are good...I've only had them in the US though...great restaurant in my town serves them...superb!

The main ingredient of Black Pudding is pigs blood. Faggots are delicious! It's basically a ball of pork. It's essentially all the scrap meat off a pig rolled into a ball. Kind of like Haggis (Scotland only! - that's the intestines). Faggots and peas is a popular meal around where I live. I had some just the other day infact... It got popular because they were cheap in the war.

That would be... "pigs' blood" (>1 pig, I imagine)

Ju, I think Vinegar on fries is a Rhode Island thing. Everywhere you go in Rhode Island they ask you if you would like vinegar with your fries, or there is already vinegar on the table.

Insan...more importantly, the drinking age in Montreal is 18 (19 in most of Canada)...its an ideal trip for most College Freshman and Sophomores...

Agreed Montreal is the spot for strips clubs. And this is coming from a guy who just took the redeye in from Vegas to get to work in time.

That was a great movie. I'm not one for teenage movies but that and the American Pie 1,2,and 3 were great. Road Trip had it's moments too.

Beer. I hear that the beer is specially made over there so you can brink like 7 or 8 liters and still wake up fine the next day. No hangovers. That's a good reason to go in my book.

I prefered German beer to Irish Beer...I could put a few Irishman to shame, no such luck with the germans, who mocked our crap american beer (which is true)...then I mentioned Yuengling to a cultured German...and he admitted, its certainly among the best America has to offer... In Germany, Bud does not "qualify" as beer...

Isn't it illegal or something? I know theres some sort of German law that states that you're only allowed to use 4 ingredients.
