Looks like Reality has been called up from Triple A...

(of course if they come back, this post never happened)

I think this was purposely intended to rile up Manny.

In other news though, the Mets have won 8 in a row going into the break.

The Rays are still winning the Wild Card, but the timing of the losing streak combined with the Sox heating up again led to them falling back to 2nd place.

The funny thing is that the Rays have been so good that even after losing seven in a row they are still going to be within a half a game of first. Every team goes through these slumps at some point during the year. Wait until they really pull it all together...

Yeah, I agree that it's not a big deal. Everybody goes through a losing streak at some point. It's how they respond to it that is important.

It's official now...Red Sox win 2-1, they now have a half-game lead in the AL East, and have made up 5.5 games on the Rays in one week.

We'll see what the Rays do before the trade deadline....too soon to call anything yet.

Not a big deal, What matters now is if they can end this streak and start playing again how they were in the beginning of the year, or revert back to the Rays of last year. I guess we'll find out. And by the way, the Yankees aren't going to do anything, no matter what the people on ESPN think.

This isn't some sort of reversion to the days of the Devil (Rays). A swing in the standings was to be expected this week. Both the Red Sox and Rays play great at home, and below average on the road. The Rays were on the road for 6 games, the Red Sox were at home for 6. The Rays went 0-6 on the road, the Sox went 5-1 at home. Fun fact: The Rays are 6-0 against the Sox in Tropicana Field. The Sox are 6-0 against the Rays in Fenway Park.
