Oklahoma City Super...What Now?

So I'm sick of hearing about Seattle losing their NBA team, big win the team name, colors, and history stay. Since the "Sonics" are pretty much in OKC, I was wondering what the team would be called. Mascot, logo, team colors and the such. So I leave it to the AGM faithful to discuss, I do this knowing it will become a OKC/Clay Bennett bashing thread.

Allegedly, 7.9% of the state of Oklahoma are Cherokee. So, how about, Oklahoma City Cherokees?

Those receive plenty of criticism, too. Some colleges have even changed their mascot, such as the St. Johns, who changed from the Redmen to the Red Storm in 1994.

I'm no expert at this, but I have a feeling that Bennett, ESPECIALLY STERN (sorry), and Howard Schultz had this planned way before any of this talk came into public......I've never seen a commish so determined to get a team out of a city.

The one thing I don't understand in all this is why does the NBA seemed so determined to get a team in Oklahoma City? It would seem to me that the fan base and potential revenue would be greater in Seattle.

Dude. im from Oklahoma City. We sold out every game for the Hornets stint in Oklahoma. They sucked when they got here and now look what they accomplished. The revenue would go up major in OKC because it is a rich city with a college-type crowd. We are nicknamed by the NBA as "Loud City".
