NBA Playoff Matchups

Here are the games:

[edit] Eastern Conference

(1) Celtics vs. (8) Hawks

(4) Cavaliers vs. (5) Wizards

(2) Pistons vs. (7) 76ers

(3) Magic vs. (6) Raptors

[edit] Western Conference

(1) Lakers vs. (8) Nuggets

(4) Jazz vs. (5) Rockets (Houston has the home court via better record)

(2) Hornets vs. (7) Mavericks

(3) Donaghys vs. (6) Exciting Suns

So guys...whaddaya think? I don't know about you, I may not watch 1 minute of the Eastern Conference first round because ALL of the matchups are so predictable.

The Western Conference however, will be as exciting as ever. The Nuggets will certainly try and force the Lakers score 135. I still think the Hornets will beat the Mavericks, the Suns....do us a favor, get rid of the San Antonio Snooze Inducers in a SWEEP.

The Rockets will win the series as long as they win at least 1 in Utah, I've never seen a team like the Jazz play so well at home (37-4), yet so BADLY on the road (17-24).

And yes, I'll be live blogging certain games like the Lakers/Nuggets and Hornets/Mavericks.

The games are predictable but I'm sure Lebron is going to show his ass that series and of course its been a while since the C's won a playoff series so i gotta enjoy every minute of it...on the west i think nuggets and lakers will be alot more exciting than most expect

With Arenas back, Cavs/Wizards will be the best series in the first round in both conferences, IMO.

I'd watch Cavs/Wizards. King James vs. Agent 0. Cavs will definitely win, but it'll be a great series to watch

I never expected the Hawks or the Sixers to make the playoffs. So that's pretty cool.

Suns beat the Spurs, then Mavericks, then Lakers to get to the Finals?

1) Yes! EXACTLY the way I want it... too bad the Jazz will crush the Lakers (if the Nuggets don't do it first...)

2) the Magic?

3) STAT 1 v. Superman D12

4) Mercury RePeat

5) Number of Rings Shaq has until '09

it has to happen 4 times in 7 games. I don't see it as a possibility. And many, how bout those rays? Do they want to win, or do they like throwing games against the twins

Translation: The Hornets will kick the Suns out in the next round if they win and the Suns beat the Spurs. Funny, the Shaq deal and the Jason Kidd deals were so highly touted, yet neither of them moved very high (for Dallas I think they dropped) in playoff seeding.

Not ALL of the Eastern Conference games are predictable. The Wizards/Cavs series should be a good one.

Utah won the Northwest Division with a 54-28 record. Houston finished third in the Southwest Division with a 55-27 record. Utah gets the higher seed as a Division Champ, Houston gets home court because of the better W/L.
