Mets Are on The Brink
I have been following sports for well over twenty years now. During this time, I have developed a feel for when a team hits a fork in the road. Where a team must decide - do they stick together and win or blow apart and kiss the season goodbye.
Right now, the New York Mets are at that point. When you see Jose Reyes dogging it and getting benched, you know that things are getting ugly, real fast. The only saving grace for the Mets right now is the fact that they play in the awful NL East. With that said, it looks like the Atlanta Braves are beginning to charge.
So look out Mets fans! Your glorious control of the NL East, which lasted about 14 months may be coming to a close. If the wheels do fall of the season, I wonder, will Willie R. return as manager next year?
