Looking for a Baseball Simulator

Here's what I'm looking to do:

I have a team of players, each from different seasons. I want to combine them and play them against another team, also made up of players from different seasons. But I want to base it off time-insensitive stats like ERA+ and OPS+, because let's face it, 15 homers in 1984 is a lot more than 15 homers in 2000.

Any ideas?

Hmm, I've never really seen a simulator that went off of just ERA+ and OPS+. The best free sim out there is SBS, which is very cool when you download the team databases and background files. It would be a pain in the ass to do, but you could normalize every player's raw stats to a neutral season for run-scoring, and then run it through SBS. I'm not sure if there's a simpler free sim around, though.

Pretty neat. Do you know if I can enter in normalized data? I know I can find normalized data at Baseball Reference, and I'm happy to enter it in for my 25 man roster, and require that my opponent(s) do the same for theirs.

Yeah, when you download the game package, it comes with a bunch of team data files. Open one of those with your favorite text editor, and look at the format of the roster; then, use that as a template for entering your normalized data. Be sure to save it as a .DAT file when you're through, and it should work in the game.

Another dice baseball afficianado! What really pisses me off is me and my buddies were playing fantasy baseball WAY before it was invented.

Why does that piss you off. To me it seems pretty cool.
