Ok, i think my repuation as a anti-pats fan has been made clear...

but to suggest that Tom Brady doesn't make the hall is ridiculous...

Assuming Brady wins the SB this year (and even if he doesn't), he'd have the most SBs as a QB...if he has 4, he's at least as good as terry bradshaw...and Bradshaw is in the HoF and his statistics are very good at best...

QBs have gotten in on much less than brady...

Tom Brady will make the hall of fame because he was lucky enough to play on the best overall team in NFL history. Hell, if Rex Grossman was the QB for NE we'd be talking about him getting into the hall. Insert any QB in the league right now to replace Brady and you still have a winning team and that QB gets in the hall. Disgraceful.

No QB with multiple SB wins has been left out of the HOF. Your brady argument is sad. You could make better not HOF worthy arguments about Manning and Favre than you can Brady. Besides, it's the NFL HOF debates are not the same because they let anyone borderline in. It's not as selective as the baseball HOF where the arguments are actually good as to who should be in/out.

That's true. And the Patriots are so good they would have won multiple Super Bowls with Pee Wee Herman as their quarterback. You Brady lovers give this guy too much credit. The dude won the professional career lottery going to New England. He could of just as easily ended up in Tampa or Arizona and none of us would have ever heard of him.

Brady won 3 super bowls with some of the worst WR's! Before this season he never had a legit #2 receiver never mind a #1! Why do you think they scrapped all their wideouts and start over this year? Because bray sucked and needed people who catch his Tony Eason-esque passes. You are a fool that knows nothing about football.

Well...Manning has put up terrific numbers with great receivers...then he put up respectable numbers with guys like Wayne and Clark, who, IMO are good, but not great (wayne is also overpaid)

Brady did the same thing, but in reverse...surround him with spectacular talent adn look what happens...

at the same time, Manning never had a corps that was quality talent 4 and 5 receivers deep (Lets face it, Stallworth is a legit #2 receiver sitting at 4, Washington is a #3 placed at #5 and special teams and Gaffney is truly a #3)...

Total yardage isn't exactly the greatest measure of offensive/defensive ability, but we actually ranked higher in total offense than total defense in two (2001 and 2004) of our 3 SB seasons...

Even looking at the Super Bowls, it's not really a slam-dunk that we won them entirely with defense... In all three, the other team gained more total yards in the SB than their seasonal YPG averages. Against St. Louis we forced a lot of big turnovers, so you can definitely say that we won that one with D, but there's no way that we won XXXVIII with defense -- Carolina put up 387 yds and 29 points after averaging 321 and 20, respectively, during the season. Our offense (481 yds!) totally won that game for us. Against Philly we forced turnovers and held them below their scoring average, but also gave up 369 yards. So while you can say that we won 2 of the 3 with defense, it's definitely not a open-and-shut case... I'll give you XXXVI and maybe even XXXIX for the turnovers, but the offense carried the day in XXXVIII.

If Brady went to any other team, say he and Favre switched spots, I think Brady would look like crap. Peyton and Favre right now are way better QBs than Brady.

Again if you are a QB and have multiple super bowl wins you get into the hall. (plunkett's the only exception) Not everyone with one 1 is in the hall. Call me when Favre or Manning win their second and then you talk about them in the same league as Brady.

Pip, that's a bit too far. Brady>Favre is unwarranted. Favre has thrown more TD passes than any other QB in history. He's won a super bowl, and he's coming close if he hasn't already broke the passing yards record. Favre has to be spoken of with the likes of Montana, Elway, Marino and Young.

As for Brady, I'd say the correct point to make about him is that he's on his way to being mentioned in that group (ditto Peyton), but I'd still say they're both still on the outside looking in.

I'm not gonna touch the Warner debate because you either think he's in, or he shouldn't come near making the hall.

FP is right...Favre is almost Marino with a ring...

Favre has rarely had the kind of talent guys like Montana, and Elway had (and when he did, he won the SB)

Brady's 3 current SB rings are on a similar manner to favre's in that he never had major talent around him ( a good line and a good RB in Dillon)...

If Brady wins a 4th (likely) he's definitely a top 5 QB, if for no other reason than having 4 rings (which puts him, at the very least in Bradshaw territory), but he's starting to get great numbers...so when all is said and done, if he has a few more seasons even close to half of what he did this season, he'll be argued as the best...

Pip this is by far the dumbest thing I have ever read on this site. That the number of rings a QB has makes him better than other QBs with only 1 or none. I will always go on the record saying that Tom Brady is a great QB; however, he hasn't YET proven himself to be better than Manning or Favre. Let's talk in 5 more years. Who know's?, maybe Brady will marry his goat this offseason, and be stronger than ever becoming the best god damn QB in the world... of course until the goat dies and all his powers disappear.

Does Kurt Warner get into the NFL Hall of Fame? He doesn't have my vote. He's had a solid career and he had the weapons that brought the best in him out while playing with St. Louis. We was also plaing with St. Louis during his personal physical peak. I'm not touching Brady, other then the tuck rule I don't really have a beef. He's got a high football IQ and understands how to mask whatever negatives he has by maxing out his teammates abilites and potential. Much of Brady's sucess comes from being a smart quarterback bottom line. You can't knock his smarts. And obviously he has some serious talent because I've watched him the years before this one adjust throws to revievers who couldn't sperate and adjust drops and reads to benefit what time his O line can give him. I don't like the guy, but I respect him as a QB no doubt.
