Yesterday AGM users produced 14 articles, with 4 of them promoted to the front page. That was one of the most productive days of article content in months. The content from Romi's Detroit Tigers article to Rawb's piece on Tim Thomas was strong.

Let's try and make this a more consistent thing over the summer and focus less on the drama and garbage articles like the one involving Jefferston Starship or whoever he was.

Great! Now go and read some articles! And for God's sake, comment!!

Packers Make Jennings Second Highest Paid Wide Receiver Ever (6 votes, 3 comments) No Run Support Again (3 votes, 0 comments) 2008 World (you know) Champions: The Sequel (4 votes, 0 comments) Why Kenny Rogers is Hopelessly Overrated (5 votes, 1 comment)

Spurz Comin' (3 votes, 46 comments)

46 comments?!?!? That's more than the four articles I listed combined. By a lot! Throw in Romi's Tigers article, and you've got 19 comments.

Please....comment!

If you don't comment, we may not see 14 articles in a day again.

Most of that is Richard Jefferson Airplane and his alter-egos. You take those and Manny's comments away and I'm sure that sounds better.

I get that. But there were plenty of legit commenters on that thread. I didn't necessarily have a problem with that thread, either. I just want to see that type of interaction on actual articles.

Thanks for bringing this up in the locker room. And thanks to the remaining people on this site who have been trying to make this site better.

And about the articles, a good reason as to why many people aren't commenting is because the discussions keep drifting away into other things (like, "Yay, we're getting some comments"... or "Cool, this guy wrote an article"). Keep those discussions going... that's what makes debates. I'm not a huge football or hockey fan, so I can't really leave that many intellectual comments, but I'll definitely write some long responses to baseball or basketball articles.

With all this being said, keep up the good work, fellas. We're doing well...

Romi, I don't care if the comments are intellectual...just that they exist. If you like the writing, say so. I would think that nobody wants to write in a vacuum.

If I wanted nobody to be reading what I wrote, and saying nothing about it, I'd just post articles to my blog. I can't imagine anyone would post an article without wanting folks to read it and comment on it.

I think that some folks are on the same page here. I see Rawb, SSR, Romi and a few others making comments. But we need more. And I'm guilty of not having time to read everything or to make interesting comments. I get it. But I do comment, even if it's something stupid. Let 'em know you're there, folks...

A comment that says nothing more than "I liked this" is like voting for an article twice.

The comments don't have to be too insightful. If something's on your mind, say it.

And I don't know about anyone else, but there's free reign for anyone to criticize (constructively) parts of or my entire pieces if they see something they don't like. I feed off criticism.

Romi-Your ignorance is why you would be great to comment on the Jennings article. Have you even heard of him? Is he worth being the 2nd highest paid WR in the NFL? What would motivate the Packer GM to make such a decision?

61 comments at 2:30 EST. Not bad. And not a Johnson in sight. Table's set - who's first?

This reminds me of a famous quote "I feed off criticism. It's why I am so fat." - I forget who said it, but it was a really fat guy who got criticized a lot and couldn't accept being who he is.
