The best part: He's done it after battling cancer. Amazing.

Isn't Randy Johnson left-handed?

Also, I know Billy Wagner is.

Still a great story.

Remember the 6-pitcher no-hitter the Astros had against the Yankees a few years back? It included Roy Oswalt, Kirk Saarloos, and the left-handed Billy Wagner.

Yep. The Big Unit didn't just throw a no-no, he tossed a perfect game against Atlanta two years ago. One of my classmates was on that team when he did the deed.

Yes, I remember. And Wagner didn't throw a complete game no-hitter, therefore, doesn't receive credit for one. None of those guys can say they threw one. They were PART of one, but that's it.

I know he didn't throw a complete one. That was me trying to be clever. I was obviously unsuccessful.

Oh, shit. How do you change a Locker Room title? I should've known better than to take my drunken brothers stat over the phone at face value.

He was the first lefty for the RED SOX to throw a no hitter for a long time.

It must be nice to have so many no-hitters you can split them among left and right handers. Actually, I think it would be nice to just have one.

Throwing a no-hitter in Fenway Park is not an easy task for a lefthanded pitcher making it even more special for Lester to pitch the first one by lefthander in 52 years.

There once was a kid named Jon

Whose last name wasn't Papelbon
He survived cancer
And found the answer
To throw a no-hitter in Boston

WAY TO GO, JON! Keep fightin'.
