Invite a Blogger Week

Okay, so I'm still in meetings. If I *weren't* in meetings, I'd be on Google's blog search, looking for more people to invite to our great community.

But I really can't, so, if you guys could each invite a few people -- say, five each (or more if you want!) -- that'd be great.

Here's how you do it:

1) Go to Google Blog Search and search for site:blogspot.com "Some Player" and sort by date. Or, the easy way: Click this link and change "Jose Reyes" to another player's name.

2) Click the blog links. If the blogger looks like he's good, find an email address and send him an email telling him about the site and inviting him to join. You can use your recruiting link -- it's http://www.armchairgm.com/Special:UserRegister&from=1&referral=DNL but with your user name instead of DNL -- to get 5000 (!) points if they sign up.

3) Respond if they do. Be friendly :)

Some hints:

  • Explain the big advantage for them: We have hundreds of people already writing (and thousands reading!) so, they'll have an instant audience.
  • And they can get a lot of comments; dozens is common.
  • Tell them to click the "Write" tab to write after logging in. That's kind of important.
  • Tell them it's OK if they want to take one of their current blog posts and republish it, to get their feet wet.

If you have other hints, let everyone else know.

If you decide to help invite bloggers, please let everyone else know what player(s) you are searching on, so we don't duplicate efforts.

Thanks!

Dan

What WOULD Jay go to if invited? I know a Chicago parade on June 29th that he might be interested in.

i heard two pretty stunning things this morning:

1) the moss culpepper rumor was created by moss.

2) They were pissed at moss for screwing the pats...why the hell should he take less...

Bottomline is, NE and their fanbase have this unearned sense of arrogance around them. And they believe that people should be honored to play on their team. Truth be told Moss already took a pay cut to be there last year, and despite a record setting year, NE could not produce a championship. He owes them nothing and has the right to seek out money wherever he can.

I agree... Here's the thing...if you're moss, you know what Brady can do. If you want a ring, yuo stay, but you can only allow them to discount so much. So i could see taking 9 mil if someone else offers 10...but getting lowballed to 6...I'd peace it and go to another team with a pretty good shot...

Agreed, its one thing to take a modest paycut in the interest of winning. It's another thing when the team thinks they are Gods gift to the game and players will take whatever they say just because. Moss could easily go to 2 or 3 teams that have legit chances of making an winning a Super Bowl and still get the money that HE wants.

Maybe Randy Moss SHOULD leave the New England Patriots "to earn a ring"?
