I LOVE Buck Martinez.

Why can't EVERY "color analyst" simply explain what is going through the player's heads in each situation without stomping all over the action like Buck???

Sure, he failed as a Manager, but that was OUR gain. This guy DEFINES what a color analyst is supposed to bring to the game!!!

I love him! I just told my wife that if I wasn't already married I'd ask Buck to marry me!

This has little to do with the fact that I still play Triple Play '99 all the time (yes, that's a Playstation ONE game) where Buck did all of the color analysis...

Ron Darling "gets" the game, he's not bad at all and VERY tolerable! - he'd better "get" the game however - his brother was an umpire. Chip Carey? I could care less... but he's not horrible by any means.

But Buck??? The guy is simply fucking awesome with his input. I say "fucking" instead of "facking" - despite my AGM homerism - only because I mean it THAT fucking much!!!

Long live Buck!!! Not only does he make me forget how much I want to debilitate Tim McCarver despite my better judgement but he also makes me wait in hope for the next pearl of baseball wisdom that he's going to expound... the guy sees baseball in a beautiful manner and I APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH!!!

The guy needs MORE accolades... and will continue to get Manny Stiles shouts out for his microphone ninjaism as long as he's got a voicebox!

Give Buck props! With so many sucky word jugglers in the world dumbing down the masses, the REAL craftsmen need to get their proper due!!!

Damn it Buck... you're getting a whole article from me in the future!@!!!

I LOVE BUCK (as ana announcer)!!!

Alex, we need a ruling. "Commentating" or "commenting"?

Commentating: to deliver a commentary on. Commenting: To make a comment; remark OR to serve as a judgmental commentary.

This reminds me, I have to renew my membership in the Tim McCarver fan club. The difference between McCarver and Ron Darling is McCarver talks too much, and Darling doesn't talk enough.

Darling needs to tell more of the "on the plane with the '86 Mets" stories... that would liven him up a tad!

Tim McCarver is right above nails on a chalkboard, and tied with Rachel Ray. I'd rather pluck my nosehairs with a chainsaw than listen to Tim McCarver tell his audience that because a shortstop threw the ball off the grass two feet in front of the first baseman - "it was by design..." on grass...

I think Tim McCarver had a brainectomy and they replaced it with dogcrap.

...and the other two thirds from OD'ing on coke too?

Talking about Darling only makes me want to re-read Davey Johnson's book Bats about the '85 Mets...

He kept David Cone away from little girls, Wally Backman away from Howard Johnson, Keith Hernandez out of the shower when other guys were in it. Johnson wrote a book about the '85 Mets because he realized if he wrote about the '86 Mets, no one would believe him.
