How To Become Admin?

That's because there are too many admins.

30 admins out of 7,875 users. 26 admins that aren't founders.

How many of those 7.875 are active on the site?

About 100 or so....but 10-15 admins aren't active as well (I am a cpcp, Patrickburke1980).

Right now, as of this very moment, I think they're about 8-10 admins that are active, not a wikia staffer, and not Patrickburke or MJD. For now, I think we have more than enough general admins, maybe a bit under for link admins (maybe not, I'm not one so I don't know how much traffic they get), and probably right on for comment admins.

However, when traffic goes up (late summer-winter), the number of users goes up, and it becomes about right all around. It's about having a variety of users with different schedules (maybe more admins that aren't students?) so that if something comes up, we can handle it quickly.

I remember when most of the active admins were either gone or not admins, it was a beast of a job for me to have to delete the junk, protect pages, and help take care of trolls. I didn't do the best job, but it wasn't easy to do without help. Point being, having a plethora of admins is not bad.

Link admins are fine FP, but if you want to be one, ask Dan, I think you'd be fine. its an easy job, but you can forget about it pretty easily ; - )

With that being said...anyone who sees me around and wants their link approved, feel free to send me a message and I'll do it

I almost (99% of the time) approve y'all's links because i know you...

but there are also ones from other lesser known users...and spam...but if i get a link from, say FP, i pretty much click to see the link works and then approve...

that may not be the proper way, but I find it easier ; - )

Someone should message I am a cpcp and tell him that Jamel is no longer on this site, there are no more trolls, and that everything is (just about) back to normal. He is/was a great person and a great contributor to the site, as well as a good person to talk to.

maybe Justin, I wasn't sure exactly how much traffic the links got. It's not something I've given a whole lot of attention to, so I just guessed. But again, too many admins is better than too few

Disregard Step 4... It is simply SS's attempt to make a joke because I was against adding him as an administrator. Alas, it made no difference and some fourteen year old now has authority on this site...

I think it'd be cool to be able to delete player pages when we have duplicates. That's about all I would want it for. I hate responsibility in all its forms.

I could (and thanks for your help, by the way), but I'd rather not bother you with that. And that way I'd be able to get immediate results while working on project, instead of waiting for your crazy Kuwait time to catch up. I'm just saying, it'd be nice, I'm not trying to campaign for admin or anything. If you want to make me one, though, that's cool too.
