Mark Reynolds (Arizona Diamondbacks) still leads all Major League players in "Home Runs Hit" (5). Chris B. Young (Arizona Diamondbacks) and Torii Hunter (Los Angeles Angels) are still the only players besides Reynolds who have hit 4 homers. 14 players have 3 homers (10 from the NL and 4 from the AL).

Bronson Arroyo still leads all Major League players in "Home Runs Surrendered" (5). Daniel Cabrera (Baltimore Orioles), Jason Jennings (Texas Rangers), and Roy Halladay (Toronto Blue Jays) are all tied for second place with 4.

  • So what was the homer of the day? Was it Jason Bay's solo jack to tie the ballgame between the Pirates and the Chicago Cubs in the bottom of the ninth? Maybe, for you Cardinals fan out there, it's the first (or maybe the second... I dunno) home run hit by Albert Pujols; he's going to get red hot now... I can feel it.
  • Frank Thomas didn't hit a home run yesterday! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
  • I'd like to take this time to, once again, ask what your thoughts are about a possible "Home Run of the Day" page; something like SSR's "Caption of the Day" page, except it's for home runs (derrr). What do you guys think?

Ramirez's shot was off the bottom of the pirates pen, but still, it's all about timing.

Smae thing for LaRoche. Nice shot in extra innings against dwindling pitching resources.

BUT Neither of them would've even had the opportunity if it weren't for Jason Bay launching one to deep center off the Closer, Wood.

Bay gets my vote.

"Home Run of the day" page sounds good to me.

That's one vote. I need some more in order to make the page more successful than SSR's page where only his vote counts. :P (No hard feelings, SSR) How about just voting on the page. That could work. And I can keep score as we go along...

There is: positive feedback. Actually, I'm thinking of making these into articles. They were supposed to be additions to Niteowl's "Baseball Notebook"s, but I don't know. Do you guys have any ideas as to what I should add to make this a better "article/opinion". I feel like just posting home runs and who they were hit by along with the pitcher and situation in an article is just an easy way to get points. And since I can't watch any of the home runs on TV, I don't know what to do.

Here's votes for you Romi. HR of the day, yes.

Niteowl and I had talked about me adding to the baseball notebook as well, but with our work schedules and time zone differences it hasn't worked out. I may do something similiar to this, (lockerroom), but not on a daily basis.

I guess my point is, if you got it, flaunt it. Can never have too much baseball news.

Thanks, Kels.

The thing is though, I don't know whether I should make these into articles and expand my thoughts on these homers into my own opinions or if I should just add the table...

I dunno. I guess it's up to you guys.

Article. You can't get votes in the Lockerroom. Look at it this way, you do alot of work already on this, and if you're going to expand it then more work would be required. The Lockerroom is more of a question/answer option, not a discussion generator.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Without the "Homer of the Day" question, I guess it isn't a discussion generator. That's why I got confused about the whole article/lockerroom thing. Thanks for talking to me about it, Kels.
