Easy dudes {what the fack am I doing trying to be a peacemaker anyways????} Heath rode a horse {I think} in a critically acclaimed movie. That horse may have once raced. And thus this constitutes {splitting hairs?} a sports relevant topic?

With the amount of stupid crap routinely posted here in the Locker Room {and we are all guilty of that from one time or another}, this little tidbit of information is hardly worth "calling out" AOEH.

An actor died and AOEH already stated that he was pursuing an acting career, hence the connection.

Give him a break.

Hang on a second, this IS a sports story!

Ledger played a PATRIOT but lived in NEW YORK.

So was he a PATRIOTS fan or a GIANTS fan?

This is important to know. Otherwise both teams may lay claim to "WIN IT FOR HEATH" in the Super Bowl.

We owe Ed an apology.

I was a little surprised to see this here, but I'm glad someone mentioned it. Heath was in "10 Things I Hate About You," which I considered the greatest movie ever when I was about 13. He played a rebellious Aussie in a new school in LA, and I was in love with him. After "10 Things," he got offered other roles in teen movies but turned them down to do real movies. I was shocked when I heard he died. He was very talented and a father to a baby girl. Very sad.

I think it is pathetic that a young man dies, someone thinks to share it with this community, and instead of expressing condolensces, we debate about whether it is sports related? Heath Ledger was a talented actor, hardly a B talent as he was a top contender for an Oscar last year, and he will sorely be missed. He and his ex-wife used to live in my neighborhood, but they recently seperated and he moved to Manhattan and she was looking to sell their Brooklyn brownstone. He was formerly married to Michelle Williams who was in Brokeback Mountain with him and is most known for her role in Dawson's Creek. I am not sure if they were seperated or officially divorced, but I think just seperated because it takes a year to get divorced in NY.

Ledger said he having a tough time playing the Joker in the new Batman film The Dark Knight. He was quoted as saying he was having trouble sleeping while portraying the Joker, whom he called a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy." Maybe he got into the role a little too much?

I'm no drama expert, but isn't that method acting? You know, when you take on the role to such an extent that the role becomes you? I know Daniel Day-Lewis does it for his roles a lot. He asked to be wheeled around in a Wheelbarrow when filming My Left Foot. And even Sasha Baron Cohen (better known as Borat) went out promoting his movie as the character. Perhaps that is part of the reason why he did away with him. It just lost the fun in it, and perhaps even his own identity in the process.

For those of you that think this doesn't belong in the locker-room, please check the upper left corner of this page.

It says: The Lockerroom

This is a the place to discuss the site, community issues, discuss ideas for opinions, and other things related to the community but not specifically about sports. You can add something to the locker room by clicking the link.

Since Hoch is part of this community, as far as I'm concerned, it is perfectly OK to post it.
