Gone Chessing
This weekend, it is the Terafinal (yes... really) of the 2007 UK Chess Challenge. I'm not in with the strongest 50 or so players, I'm in the second tier of "Challengers". But it's the last 150 or so of the Under 18s in the country, from more than 80,000 entrants, so it's not bad. I came joint third of the Under 17s in the North of the UK in the Gigafinal to advance to this stage, so I've done pretty well so far! A bit flukey, I'll admit, but nonetheless a great result!
So, I shall not be here this weekend. "And finally..." will take a break, but I hope to still put some snooker out. So, if you need to ask me something and want an answer before Monday... don't! Because I won't be here.
