Flood pictures

In case you haven't heard, NE Iowa has been dealing with serious flooding. I've had to deal with it since yesterday. Just so you guys know, I am okay, I'm safe. There is some flooding less than a block away from me, but I am managing alright.

It sucks for me, but it's a lot worse for those living in residential areas. The whole downtown is flooded and major roads are shut down. It's been hell for a lot of residents already. The river is expected to crest later tonight at 19.3 feet, seven feet higher than the flood stage. The current flood stage is at 19.1 feet.

This is record flooding we're dealing with. They're already calling it a 100-year flood. Barring more rain, we should be okay. Keep the town of Waverly and many other communities dealing with floods in your thoughts and prayers.

In conclusion, here are some pictures that I've taken.

Wasn't there a hundred year flood less than 10 years ago?

Stay dry, ONR!!!

I'd do a rain dance backwards for you but I live in Arizona and it hasn't rained here but once since February.

I remember in 2005 we had really bad flooding in Pittsburgh. I hope you stay dry. My wife and I lost almost everything in our basement. I did manage to save the Washer, Dryer, Baseball cards and all my Tonka Trucks from when I was a kid though.
