ESPN Goofball Mistake

For anyone currently watching Joe Torre's press conference as of 8:00 PM EST on ESPN 2, you'll notice that on the left corner, it says "SportsCenter Live". On the right hand corner, it reads "Earlier Today".

What the heck? Good one.

ESPN broadcast the press conference live at 2PM EST. What you saw was a re-run of the live broadcast, thus the "live" reference on the screen. Damn, even a Red Sox fan could figure that one out.

The four letter network's website had the live news conference via streaming . . . but it said "Joe Torre New Conference." I guess his OLD conference was last week.
