EA Sports is EVIL!!!

I've played Madden NFL games on several systems from 2000-2005. They all have the same thing. Awful glitches, robotic commentary, and AI problems. I played ESPN NFL 2K5 at a friends one time, and I loved it! Lively commentary, few glitches, and the AI is more difficult. NBA Live Series is another farce. It used to be good, but now you wonder if EA really cares about its sports video games. They bought the rights to ESPN licensing...... I still can't find it. They hide it as if it doesn't exist. I hope 2K Sports can bring back NFL rights and ESPN graphics back to them. They do a better job with everything.

Oh and if you don't believe me on the Madden commentary, here's an example of a last second touchdown by Al Michaels: "McNabb, surveys the field, throws right, touchdown eagles."

EA Sports has completely mailed it in on the recent versions of Madden and NBA Live! The one sports series that I think they're doing a good job with is the FIFA series. FIFA06 is a really good (and addicting) game, with nice gameplay and graphics. '07 is very similar, but improves on the breadth of moves and techniques possible during gameplay and has slight better graphics during gameplay. I'm hoping they add something new and really cool for FIFA08. Otherwise this series will start to go the way of the others.

They havent made a decent NBA Live since like 98. The game has been going down hill for years. As for Madden, That game is making strides and is still the standard of the industry sorry 2k sports

In case you're interested (and have a 360 or PS3) 2K Sports just released All-Pro Football which uses old-timey players (Barry Sanders, Walter Payton and such) in a Madden like format. It's supposed to be pretty sweet.

They're fixing a lot of things on the 2008 series due to many complaints.

What pisses me off is that 2K refuses to make theeir games for PC. I don't have a console, I just have a PC so I HAVE to play EA's games. I have no other option. (And no, I'm not buying a console, so that's not an option for me.)

ESPN NFL 2K5 was the greatest football game I have ever played. The worst thing that has happened to sports games is the "exclusive license" option. There simply is no competition and EA can continue to put out sub-par football games while 2K continues to churn out sub-par baseball games. Maybe they should switch licenses because the NFL 2K series was great and so was the EA MVP series.

It just kills me that the "wrong" company was awarded the exclusive license in both MLB and NFL, because ESPN NFL 2K5 was easily the best non-Tecmo football game ever made (still is, arguably), and MVP Baseball 2005 is hands down the best baseball game ever made. Imagine if 2K Sports had swung the exclusive NFL deal and EA had grabbed the MLB rights... Sure, we wouldn't have All-Pro 2K8 (which looks amazing) or the NCAA Baseball series (which isn't that bad if you're a college baseball junkie), but that would be a small price to pay to have next-gen versions of ESPN NFL and MVP Baseball.

Why can't both of them have the naming rights for each sport? That way the NFL/MLB probably both get the same income from the licenses, and the better quality of game will win. Why not?

All-Pro Football 2K8 is decent, but it lacks dynasty mode and a lot of Legends are missing from the game. Hopefully 2k Sports next installment will be leaps and bounds better.
